"Glicky" from "Glicky and the Tall Place." This was an experiment to see how the overall children's book would look if I were to create all my illustrations in a cartoon style with design markers and black pen outlines. I think I am opting for charcoal renderings with a few color pieces, though. Still, I think this piece came out nice, Glicky is one of the key monster characters in the Monster Island series of books I am working on. He is a little bit of a flying monster that is scared of "tall places."
