"Circee" from "Circee and the Big Swim." Originally a pencil sketch, I was bouncing around the idea of converting all my Monster Island children's book illustrations to pen and ink with spot color, and keeping 5 or 6 full color paintings. Now I'm actually leaning towards finely rendered charcoal or graphite works with a few full color pieces. Not decided yet. In any case, this is Circee... she is a bit of a handful... slightly arrogant and a little self-centered. Still, when it comes down to it, she makes good by her friends.
