"Stand and Pete" from "The Alligator Hand." Stan was born with an alligator for a hand which, apart from being a little scary, gets into all sorts of mischief. Even though most of the village are scared of Stan, he still manages to save the marmalaide parade and become loved by all. This piece I did with charcoal on illustration board. Later I painted over it for one of the finished pieces from the book.
