"Jack and the Goblin Scouts" from my "Tunnel Under the Hill" series. This was an image I was working on for a book I was bouncing around about a young boy named Jack who moves to a small town to live in his Grandfather's old house. Part way up on the mountain they live by, Jack finds a tunnel through a small rise. As he passes through it he enters a different land. In this scene, Jack is found by several goblins and is in dire need of escape or rescue. This piece was done with charcoal on illustration board and later became the base for an acrylic painting.
