These are characters I created for my teaching job. I created them with the express idea of giving my rigging students some unique issues to overcome, like tentacles, fins, tails, and excess mass. For those of you unfamiliar with computer animation, rigging is the process whereby you take a 3d model and prepare it for animation by setting up a skeletal systems and controls to manage weight and deformation. These characters I dubbed the Aquanauts, underwater explorers. Glug (left) is the pilot and engineer while Doctor Bloopdool is a doctor/scientist.
