"Circee and the Big Swim" was the first Monster Island book I created. From the project's inception, I had planned on a series of books involving the monster character. There would be several large story arcs over several books (the mystery of where Slurgar has come from and the monsters having to take on a quest and leave the valley for a while) in addition to the primary plot of the book. Each was created to stand alone and deliver a message.
