Voi, Vakilli, and Nom are humans that Gropni Zur altered genetically, medically, and psychologically into supervillains. Voi is extremely sadistic and takes all manner of enjoyment in the pain of others. Nom is not very smart but will follow the lead of the other two. Vakilli is the only villain who has some vestages of her humanity left. As Gropni Zur was altering her mentally, a latent telepathic ability surfaced and interfered with her "reconditioning." She has second thoughts about doing harm and is more concerned with the saving of Voi and Nom from their mental domination by the alien. She still has the urges and conditioning that drives her to follow the dictates of Gropni Zur, but she can sometimes fight his control.
