The Tunnel Under The Hill is a young adult story I've begun work on. My neices and nephews are steadily growing older and I thought it might be nice to continue writing stories for them. The story is about a young boy and his mother and brother who move to a town in sleepy upstate New York. While out in the woods across the road from his house, the boy finds a tunnel that crosses over into a magical and dangerous place. I know the theme is well-used but I'm writing from experience. As a young boy I was exploring the woods on my grandfather's farm and found a tunnel in the middle of the woods that apparently went nowhere.
