These are the thumbnails I worked up when designing the cover art for the book. The first was the rough thumb I created and the second was the one where I cleaned up the kid from some reference I shot. I actually had my wife dress up in some of my clothes (to get the baggy look) and stand on the couch so I could take pictures of her. She is such a trooper! Naturally, I used other reference for the boy's face.
